Reflection:
I think that the VoiceThread program is awesome because it brings some excitement back to writing. The whole process of prewriting and writing drafts can get very mundane when all done on paper. This give the students more incentive when they know that they will be able to create something that will come to life. This allows students to use their creative side. They get to create and upload pictures and even put expression in their voice to convey their story. I love that other people can also be involved with the creation. Friends and family can be recorded in the story as well as people being able to comment on the story after viewing it. It will be easy for the teacher to give feedback to the students and will take less time that having to mark it up with tons of red ink. This is a great use of technology that is very easy to use. It can be implemented in not only language arts, but all of the subjects as well.
This was the first time that I have every created something on voice thread. My only concern was that I really hate my voice and I didn't want to have to record the whole story. When I finally did it, it actually wasn't that bad. I actually liked going back and watching my whole story "talk" after working so hard on creating it.
